Leslie Owen
Leslie Owen (1886–1947) was an Anglican bishop. Owen was educated at Merchant Taylors' School, Northwood〔“Who was Who” 1897-2007 London, A & C Black, 2007 ISBN 978-0-19-954087-7〕 and St John's College, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1912 and was firstly a curate at Ashford, Kent, after which he became a chaplain to the British Armed Forces during the First World War. When peace returned he was a lecturer at Bishop's College, Cheshunt and then Warden of the ''Scholar Cancellarii'', Lincoln.
